Cabinet Approves Commerce Ministry Staff Transfers, New Directors
The Thai Cabinet approved the Commerce Ministry's plan to transfer and promote nine senior officials to new positions effective October 1, 2025, to fill vacancies left by retiring staff.
The Cabinet has approved the Commerce Ministry's proposal to appoint and rotate nine senior civil servants to senior administrative positions, effective from October 1, 2025, to replace retiring officials. Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Perissawatwattana announced the decision at Government House on September 8, 2025, following the Cabinet meeting. The appointments include: Witiakorn Meeninat, currently Director-General of the Internal Trade Department, as Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Commerce Ministry; Kittiwat Pajchimanan, Ministry Inspector, as Director-General of the Business Trade Development Department; Warawut Somwangprasertsai, Ministry Inspector, as Director-General of the International Trade Promotion Department; Kanista Kangsawanich, Ministry Inspector, as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the World Trade Organization and World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva; Manasanit Jirrawat, Commerce Advisor, as Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Commerce Ministry; Pimchanok Pitfield, current Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the WTO and WIPO in Geneva, as Ministry Inspector; Ormon Saptiweedharm, Director-General of the Intellectual Property Department, as Ministry Inspector; Wattanasak Seueiam, Ministry Inspector, as Director-General of the Internal Trade Department; and Chittima Srithaaphorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Commerce Ministry, as Director-General of the Intellectual Property Department.
