Thai Youth Compete in Fourth ASEAN Robotics and Esports Championship
More than 2,000 Thai students from 649 teams compete in the fourth annual ASEAN Robotics and Esports Championship, hosted by Chao Phraya University with royal patronage to develop youth innovation and technology skills.
The KTIS group is promoting Thai youth as thinkers, inventors, and creators through a fourth annual ASEAN-level robotics and esports competition for a royal trophy. Dr. Darathorn Siriviriyanukul, rector of Chao Phraya University and deputy chief executive of Thai Agricultural International Sugar Corporation Public Company Limited (KTIS group), a leader in sustainable sugar and integrated industries, represents KTIS in supporting the championship. The competition awards trophies granted by members of the Thai royal family, with Chao Phraya University as the main host, partnering with educational institutions and organizations at local and national levels.
This year's fourth edition has attracted 649 competing teams—600 in robotics and 49 in esports—with over 2,000 students from schools, colleges, and universities across the country participating.
KTIS continues to prioritize youth development in science, technology, and innovation to create thinkers, inventors, and creators ready to support future industries. The competition aims to promote learning in robotics, programming, and digital technology; develop analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills among youth; and offer opportunities to compete to international standards and exchange experience with participants from diverse institutions. It also builds cooperation networks in robotics, esports, and technology among educational institutions and organizations both domestically and internationally.
