Honest Woman Turns in Substantial Cash Found on Chiang Mai Road
A 24-year-old woman found a large sum of cash on a Chiang Mai road and turned it in to police, who are now seeking the rightful owner through Chang Phueak Station.
A 24-year-old woman named Ms. Pimlapat earned praise for her integrity after finding a large sum of cash bound with a rubber band on Santitraksa Road in the Santitham area of Chiang Mai and promptly handing it over to police at Chang Phueak Station to locate the rightful owner. At 6:07 p.m. on July 20, 2025, Ms. Pimlapat reported to investigators at Chang Phueak Police Station in Mueang District, Chiang Mai, after discovering a substantial amount of cash on the roadside. She explained that around 8:50 a.m. that morning, she found the cash lying on the side of the road in the Santitraksa Road area of Chang Phueak Subdistrict. She secured it and brought it to police to be kept as evidence while investigators search for the true owner. Deputy Sergeant Phakaphum Intaprom, assistant investigator at Chang Phueak Station, officially received the cash and documented it as evidence.
