On May 14, 2025, an influencer volunteer named Chakrakrit Tangwittaya, known as Pond, appeared at Ban Chang Police Station on May 13 with his lawyer Natthapong Poolkham to acknowledge charges of intimidation and harassment filed by a woman. Pond explained that he had called the complainant to inquire about removing names from his volunteer association's roster—which offers free corpse transportation services nationwide—and that this phone call allegedly frightened her, prompting her complaint. He claimed to have previously filed 2-3 cases against the same woman over insulting social media posts, but said those cases went nowhere, making him feel he was denied justice. Pond expressed suspicion that the complainant has influence, noting that when she filed against him, he was summoned quickly, whereas his complaints against her received no action. He stated the charge against him relates to conduct that harasses, intimidates, or causes distress to others, stemming from his August 17, 2024 phone call when he asked about removing villagers' names from the association roster before pursuing legal action. Police scheduled him for further interrogation, and he indicated he would consult with his lawyer on next steps.
