Johnny Mueprab Disputes Fight Deal With Srisaket's Manager
Boxing promoter Johnny Mueprab and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai's manager are publicly feuding over a proposed exhibition fight between Srisaket and former IBF champion Amnat Ruenroeng. Johnny claims the manager initiated the bout and agreed to terms, while the manager denies any deal exists. The fight was slated for the December opening of Johnny's new stadium in Ubon Ratchathani.
Johnny Mueprab hit back hard, revealing that Srisaket's manager contacted him directly to set up a fight with Amnat Ruenroeng, then questioning who the manager actually is and insisting he himself has shown proper respect as an elder.
The dispute stems from Johnny's announcement that he had arranged a six-round international boxing exhibition between Amnat Ruenroeng, former IBF 112-pound champion, and Srisaket Nakornluang Promotion, former WBC 115-pound champion, as part of the inaugural card at his new boxing stadium in Ubon Ratchathani this December. Johnny stated he had called and finalized terms with Srisaket on the evening of October 23.
However, "Sia Huy" Surachai Pisitwuttinan, manager of "Jao Laem" Srisaket, gave an interview to Khaosod Sports denying any knowledge of the deal, telling Johnny to show proper manners and insisting the fight would never happen.
In a follow-up post on his Talungkrung Johnny Mueprab page, Johnny doubled down, asserting that Srisaket's manager was the one who reached out requesting the fight with Amnat, and that they had already agreed on the purse. He challenged the manager's identity and reiterated his own seniority and respect.
Johnny detailed the timeline: the manager first contacted him through a mutual acquaintance before Amnat's recent illness, but Johnny declined due to Amnat's health issues. Later the manager asked again, and Johnny agreed to avoid bad blood. He waited until morning, asked Amnat directly, and when Amnat confirmed he would fight under international rules, Johnny recorded a confirmation clip from Amnat himself and posted it on Facebook.
Johnny demanded to know who actually holds the rights to Srisaket and who the real manager is, noting he had spoken directly with Srisaket, who said he was ready to travel and fight and had agreed on expenses.
He criticized media outlets and a certain "Hia" (boss) for chasing views and likes by attacking his manners, calling it karma. Johnny insisted he has always acted with principles, citing that he rejected a request three months ago to avoid appearing manipulative, but this time he consented. He maintained he never acts recklessly and assumed the public announcement meant everything was settled on Srisaket's side, especially after seeing Srisaket film music videos with his younger associates.
Johnny concluded that the other side approached him first, so he did nothing wrong by accepting. He dared critics to show some manners themselves instead of riding his coattails for engagement.
