The organizer of Khaopip Festival 2 has issued a formal apology and admitted fault over poor ticket sales that fell short of targets, directly impacting the company's liquidity and preventing payment of contracted artist fees. The large concert "KHAOPIP2 MUSIC FESTIVAL," scheduled for Khaopip Junction in Thung Tao District, Chumphon Province, was abruptly canceled on the event day, causing substantial losses to artists, crew, organizers, vendors, and advance ticket buyers totaling several million baht.
On July 12, 2025, organizer Niraphat Kumvasri, acting as company director of Sukanan 789 Limited and sole event organizer, issued a public statement of sincere apology to music fans, artists, partners, sponsors, and all affected parties. He acknowledged sole responsibility for the decision, explaining that ticket sales fell below targets, creating a financial liquidity crisis that prevented payment of contracted artist expenses. The artists subsequently requested to cancel their performances.
Kumvasri confirmed the company's commitment to refund 100 percent of all ticket purchases in full. He stated that he and his team are urgently managing finances to generate sufficient working capital for rapid refunds. Given current constraints, he requested patience while clear refund procedures and timelines would be announced through official channels.
Kumvasri further clarified that he alone bears full responsibility as company director and sole event organizer, and that the incident involves no involvement whatsoever from family members or relatives in management or operations. He requested that family members not be drawn into criticism or commentary regarding the event. He expressed deep regret and committed to resolving the situation to the fullest extent of his ability.
