The Lao lottery, formally called Phattana Lottery, is operated by the state enterprise Phattana Lottery Company under Ministry of Finance supervision and is the legally recognized government lottery of Laos. Draws occur Monday through Friday, with the 5/45 format drawn on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Live broadcasts begin at 8:00 PM Thailand time on Lao National Radio and Lao National Television Channel 1. The system draws one 6-digit combination that can be divided into multiple prize categories based on regional preferences, with the final 4-digit numbers being most popular. Special draws also include dream lottery (4/40) and animal number games unique to Lao lottery culture.
