Loan Sharks Intimidate Beauty Salon Owner in Chachoengsao
A Chachoengsao beauty salon owner filed a police complaint after loan sharks repeatedly intimidated her at work, threatening her in front of customers and claiming they could move the police station to Southern Thailand.
A 53-year-old beauty salon owner in Pana Nikom District, Chachoengsao, has filed a complaint after being repeatedly harassed and threatened by an illegal loan shark gang at her shop. The woman borrowed money from multiple unlicensed lenders to help a friend, but when that friend cut off all contact and blocked her on social media, the loan sharks came after her instead. The gang recently stormed into her salon while she was serving customers, threatening her in front of clients and defiantly challenging her to report them to police, boasting they could even relocate the police station to Southern Thailand. Terrified at first, she eventually gathered courage and filed a report with Pana Nikom Police Station to pursue the arrest of the illegal debt collectors, citing serious safety concerns.
