On May 15, 2025, crowds of devotees gathered at Wat Sanam Chai in Ang Thong Province to seek blessings and lucky lottery numbers from the Ai Khai spirit as the national lottery drawing date approached. Locals drew numbers from the spirit, including the number 13, with some receiving the combination 32-374 and others getting 797, all of which they plan to use for the upcoming lottery draw based on their personal beliefs.
The statue of Ai Khai at Wat Sanam Chai was originally created after the temple's abbot, Luang Pho Somwang, invited a spiritual medium from Wat Chedi in Nakhon Si Thammarat to perform the ritual casting. Since then, both locals and tourists have continuously visited to pay respects and request good fortune. When devotees' wishes are fulfilled, they return to make offerings of firecrackers, fighting rooster figurines, military uniforms, comic books, and various toys as tokens of gratitude.
