M.L. Korkasiwat Kaemsri, deputy leader of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), announced on May 8 that he will run for Bangkok governor as an independent candidate. He has already discussed his candidacy with party leader Trinut Thienthong and is preparing to formally launch his campaign with his team in the coming days. He assured that he is a well-known public figure. Korkasiwat believes that running independently will facilitate easier cooperation with Bangkok Metropolitan Council members and allow him to communicate with all factions, expecting support from representatives of various political colors.
