MG Reports Strong Growth with 76% Increase in Registrations Over First Four Months, Surpassing 10,000 Units

MG reported registration figures for the first four months of this year showing 76% growth compared to the same period last year, reflecting strong consumer confidence in the brand. According to Su Wei Yin, Managing Director of MG Sales (Thailand) Limited, cumulative registrations reached 10,953 units during the four-month period, an increase of 76% year-over-year.

The company attributes this success to positive reception of its product quality, enhanced driving performance tailored to Thai drivers' needs, and comprehensive after-sales service through 123 service centers nationwide. A key factor driving electric vehicle sales is MG's EV Lifetime Warranty, which covers the high-voltage battery, motor drive system, and motor control unit throughout the vehicle's lifespan without mileage or ownership restrictions, resulting in 9,649 electric vehicle registrations.

Popular models include the New MG4 Electric with 4,537 cumulative registrations and the New MG5 EV Plus with 3,407 registrations, both featuring rear-wheel-drive performance using the Nebula Pure Electric Platform. Premium electric vehicles generated over 850 registrations, led by the MG iM6 with 519 units, while e-MPVs including the New MG Maxus 7 and New MG Maxus 9 achieved 307 registrations.

"MG is continuously developing in multiple areas, particularly in product quality and after-sales service to strengthen consumer confidence in our brand," Su Wei stated. "We have prepared plans to increase production to meet growing customer demand and deliver vehicles as quickly as possible. Our goal is to offer quality products at accessible prices while providing reliable after-sales service, parts availability, and comprehensive service standards throughout the country."
