Man Released From Prison Opens Fire, Kills One
A man recently released from prison allegedly opened fire in Bangkok's Bang Kapi District on July 5, killing one person and wounding another in a shooting linked to a dispute over his wife.
Police launched an investigation after receiving reports of a shooting in Ramkhamhaeng Soi 64/2, Bang Kapi District, Bangkok at 9 p.m. on July 5, 2569. Officers found the body of Nai Foo, 43, who had been shot once in the right rib cage. A second victim, Nai Arm, 36, a motorcycle taxi driver, sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and right leg. Rescue teams provided first aid before transporting him to Ramkhamhaeng Hospital. Six .357 caliber shell casings and four rounds were recovered from the scene.
Investigation revealed that the victim and injured man were friends living in the same apartment building. Nai Ram, also their friend and recently released from prison on drug charges, allegedly opened fire on both men before fleeing. According to initial findings, while Nai Ram was incarcerated, Nai Arm had developed a close relationship with Nai Ram's wife. Upon his release, Nai Ram sought revenge by shooting at Nai Arm, but Nai Foo was tragically shot instead while trying to protect his friend. Police are actively pursuing the suspect and gathering evidence to establish the true circumstances of the incident.
