Manop Charoensri, Nakhon Phanom MP and deputy leader of the Pheu Thai Party, issued a response on July 23, 2025, regarding Lt. Gen. Thammanat Prommapan's Facebook post about personnel transfers at the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry. While acknowledging that the opposition has the right to criticize government performance, Manop noted that Krathomdham has consistently attacked the agriculture ministry and Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit's work, despite Suriya's demonstrated commitment to improving farmers' livelihoods.
Manop questioned whether Krathomdham's discredit campaign reflects frustration over their own failed tenure managing the agriculture portfolio, and whether they are applying their own former practices as a benchmark to judge the current administration. She challenged them to address facts, such as longstanding problems with shrimp and fish quotas and school milk programs that originated during Krathomdham's ministerial period.
Regarding personnel appointments under Suriya, Manop emphasized they were made on merit, suitability, and adherence to civil service rules—with no position-buying or personal benefit negotiations. She urged all parties to evaluate government performance based on facts rather than rumors, which she said damage staff morale. Manop affirmed her long acquaintance with Suriya and confidence in his integrity, calling for transparent scrutiny grounded in evidence rather than speculation.
