Matoom Techin Apologizes to Kim Soo Hyun as Prosecutors Seek Arrest Warrant for YouTuber Who Used AI-Generated Voice to Spread False Information

In the interest of fairness, media personality Matoom Techin has apologized to actor Kim Soo Hyun following Korean media reports that prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for a YouTuber who used AI-generated voice to create false rumors. Police investigation confirmed that actor Kim Sae Rin's voice was artificially manipulated using AI technology, and photographs were verified to have been taken when Kim Sae Rin had already reached legal age. Prosecutors found evidence of fabrication and filed for an arrest warrant against the content creator.

"Matoom is one of the media outlets that previously hosted a radio program and reported on Kim Soo Hyun's news at a time when there was no positive confirmation from news agencies," the statement read. "I admit I felt very sorry as a fan, but now that the court has made its decision in this direction, I want to use this space to share this news for justice for Kim Soo Hyun and sincerely apologize. I apologize for rushing to judgment without waiting for further investigation and witness testimony (at that time, the media and global trends went negative)."

"Personally, I don't know how this case will end, but if Kim Soo Hyun confirms his innocence and takes full responsibility for his own wrongdoings, then I believe he deserves justice."

*Editor's note: The court has not yet made a final verdict. Matoom used ambiguous language and apologizes for that. There are only updated reports according to the original news. The case is still ongoing.
