Entertainment media reports that Lionel Messi, the Argentine national team striker and Inter Miami player, earned approximately $15 million USD for appearing in a promotional trailer for the upcoming blockbuster film Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Messi appeared alongside Tom Holland, who plays Tony Parker in the film, in a scene where Messi travels through New York searching for Spider-Man before Peter Parker joins him to swing through the city on web-slingers. In the 40-second trailer, Messi appears for roughly 20 seconds.
Reports indicate that Messi received compensation for his acting work, which he performed well, earning $15 million USD for his approximately 20-second appearance on screen, equivalent to roughly 499 million baht.
