The Thai Meteorological Department forecast continued heavy rain across Thailand over the next 24 hours due to a monsoon trough passing over northern Thailand and Laos, combined with a moderate southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. The public is warned of dangers from heavy and accumulated rainfall that may cause sudden flash floods and flash floods, especially in sloped areas near waterways and in lowland zones.

Sea conditions in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand are moderate, with the upper Andaman Sea experiencing waves 1-2 meters high, while the lower Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand have waves around 1 meter. Areas with thunderstorms may see waves exceeding 2 meters. Fishermen are urged to exercise caution and avoid sailing in thunderstorm areas.

Northern Region: Thunderstorms expected in 70 percent of the area with heavy rain in some areas, particularly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Uttaradit, and Phitsanulok provinces. Low 23-28°C, high 30-36°C. Southwest winds 10-20 kph.

Northeastern Region: Thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area with heavy rain in some zones around Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, and Mukdahan. Low 23-24°C, high 30-35°C. Southwest winds 10-20 kph.

Central Region: Thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area with heavy rain around Nakhon Sawan, Lopburi, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi, and Ratchaburi. Low 23-25°C, high 34-35°C. Southwest winds 10-20 kph.

Eastern Region: Thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area with heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Low 24-26°C, high 31-34°C. Southwest winds 15-30 kph. Sea waves around 1 meter, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.

Southern Region (East Coast): Thunderstorms in 40 percent of the area, mainly in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Low 23-26°C, high 33-36°C. Southwest winds 15-30 kph. Sea waves around 1 meter, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm zones.

Southern Region (West Coast): Thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area with heavy rain in Ranong, Phang Nga, and Phuket. Low 23-26°C, high 32-36°C. From Phang Nga northward: southwest winds 15-35 kph, waves 1-2 meters, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorms. From Phuket southward: southwest winds 15-30 kph, waves around 1 meter, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.

Bangkok and Vicinity: Thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area. Low 25-27°C, high 33-35°C. Southwest winds 10-20 kph.
