Mueang Thong United's misery deepens as the club's own fans add insult to injury. Following their 3-0 home defeat to Sukhhothai FC—which sealed their first-ever relegation to Thai League 2 in 17 years—the disciplinary committee levied a fine against the club's supporters for setting off flares. Chatcharin Phanuratana chaired the 47th disciplinary hearing for the 2568-69 season, which ruled that Mueang Thong United supporters set off two flares on the away team's stand approximately two minutes after the match concluded at 20:03 on October 24, 2568, while players were thanking fans. The disciplinary panel found this conduct inappropriate and in violation of regulations, imposing an initial 60,000 baht fine. However, because Mueang Thong United had previously been penalized for the same violation on October 24, 2568, the regulations permit an additional penalty of up to 50% of the original fine. The committee therefore added a supplementary fine of 30,000 baht, bringing the total penalty to 90,000 baht.
