A 70-year-old woman in the mall told NHK that her throat began to sting and hurt as she walked toward an ATM. Police rushed to the scene and found 25 men and women reporting sore throats and other symptoms, with 19 of them hospitalized for treatment. Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is investigating witness reports about a man who sprayed a substance near a bank ATM on the first floor near the mall entrance.
