Manchester United has officially appointed Michael Carrick as the club's new permanent manager on a two-year contract through 2028. The 44-year-old took over as interim manager following Ruben Amorim's departure in January and led the team to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League by finishing third in the Premier League with an impressive record of 11 wins from 16 matches under his management. Carrick has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Season award, with the official announcement coming on May 22.
