Parit Challenges Anutin With Evidence of Two Groups at B2 Rangsit Hotel
Pheu Thai deputy leader Parit presented video evidence of two groups meeting at a Bangkok hotel in June 2024, including Senate candidates, and challenged PM Anutin to investigate possible connections to Bhumjaithai Party members. One group
On August 21, 2025, Parit Wacharasindhu, a Pheu Thai party-list MP and deputy party leader, posted on Facebook responding to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's statement that Senate fraud would be "disgusting" if true. Parit said he wanted to investigate further who else might be involved in what Anutin called a disgraceful scheme.
Earlier in the week, Parit presented video and photo evidence from B2 Rangsit Hotel showing Thawee Kamphuang, subdistrict mayor of Phon Sa, present at the gatherings. He had called on the Election Commission to clarify whether they had interrogated Thawee or investigated the hotel events, but said he had received no response.
Parit revealed that between June 24–26, 2024, at least two groups booked rooms at the hotel. The first group, linked to Thawee, included 12 guests of whom 8 were Senate candidates. The second group was booked by Passakorn Rangsivat and included 30 guests of whom 20 were Senate candidates. While unclear whether the groups were connected, Parit flagged two suspicious points: one of the 20 names was Pimai Kongtun, a Senate member from Bueng Kan province who is among 229 people a fact-finding committee determined had probable cause for wrongdoing. Notably, Pimai was elected with the 5th highest score in his group, and of 18 candidates who stayed and had national voting rights, only 7 scored 0–1 votes in the morning national round.
Parit noted that Passakorn has connections to the Bhumjaithai Party and currently serves as secretary to the Tourism and Sports Minister and party spokesman, positions under Surasak Panchcharoen, Bhumjaithai's deputy leader. During the 2025 House election campaign, Passakorn appeared in photos wearing Bhumjaithai colours and promoting the party's Pathum Thani campaign. After the 2024 Senate election, Passakorn was appointed adviser to Sumitra Jarukamnerd, another Bueng Kan Senate member elected 4th in her group and among the 229 accused of wrongdoing. Parit noted that during the 2024 Senate election, Passakorn held the position of adviser to the Rangsit City Municipality mayor.
