Pickup Truck Crashes Into Power Pole After Skidding in Heavy Rain

A pickup truck lost control and crashed into a street light pole at the Nong Krasang intersection in Non Thai district, Nakhon Ratchasima province on July 7, following heavy rainfall that left the road surface wet and slippery. CCTV footage clearly showed the truck approaching the intersection before skidding and spinning across the roadway, then striking the illumination pole on the road median with considerable force. The impact caused the pole to snap and fall, blocking traffic lanes and alarming nearby residents and road users.
Initially, one person was found with serious injuries, though their identity and details remain unknown. Emergency responders provided assistance and transported the injured driver to a hospital while clearing the road and removing the fallen pole from the area. Police have advised all road users to exercise special caution during heavy rainfall, as wet road surfaces cause vehicles to lose control easily. Drivers are urged to slow down, maintain proper distances from other vehicles, and drive defensively to prevent future accidents.
