Police Raid Forest Drug Den, Arrest Two, Seize 82 Meth Pills
Police and district officials raided a forest hut in Saba Prab District used as a methamphetamine distribution center, arresting two suspects and seizing 82 pills while a third suspect fled. The pair had been selling drugs to local youths and splitting profits at the hut, purchasing supply from a contact in Hang Chat District. Authorities are pursuing the escaped suspect and other accomplices.
On October 21, 2026, Pol. Lt. Col. Chatchaphimuk Sutlek, Superintendent of Saba Prab Police Station, Lt. Col. Prajak Sarathong, Deputy Superintendent, Pol. Maj. Chalermchai Thep-ut, Deputy Superintendent (Investigation), and narcotics checkpoint officers joined forces with district officials led by Col. Piyawut Phitakboriboon, District Chief of Saba Prab, and Mr. Phitphong Phongpan, Deputy District Chief. Together they arrested Mr. Jedsada and Ms. Chutipha, 36, residents of Mae Kua Subdistrict, Saba Prab District, along with 82 methamphetamine pills. Investigation revealed the pair had been secretly selling meth to local youths and dividing proceeds at an unnumbered hut belonging to Mr. Jedsada, which served as a drug distribution center in Mae Kua Subdistrict. During questioning, Ms. Chutipha stated she purchased the drugs from a friend known only as 'Jon' from Hang Chat District — three bags at 3,000 baht each, totaling 9,000 baht. She gave one bag to Mr. Jedsada and another to a man known only as 'Pong.' On October 18, they separated to sell the drugs and later reconvened at Mr. Jedsada's hut to split the earnings. When officers approached, Mr. Jedsada spotted them and fled into the forest. Inside the hut, police found a bag on a shelf and, beneath the floorboards, methamphetamine packed in clear plastic bags, multiple blue wafer snack packets, and several brown coffee tubes — 82 pills in total. Evidence was seized and forwarded to Saba Prab Police Station for prosecution on charges of possessing Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) with intent to sell, an illegal commercial act. Authorities are expanding the investigation to apprehend accomplices.
