Phase 1 began when the shooter arrived at school, participated in the national flag ceremony, and fired at the first teacher, killing them in room 3/8 on the sixth floor at 9:53 a.m.

Phase 2 involved gunfire in Building 5 on floors 6 and 5. After shooting the first teacher, the shooter moved to room 565 and killed two more teachers and wounded one student. At 9:54 a.m., he moved to floor 5, changed magazines, and attempted to fire but the weapon malfunctioned. He then descended to floor 4 and shot the assistant director and secretary. Police from Prai Bang Station arrived at 10:02 a.m.

Phase 3 saw continued shooting on floors 3, 2, and 1, with attempted attacks on groups of teachers and students. He encountered a janitor but did not harm them, as they were not school staff. He then moved to Building 4 while reloading.

Phase 4 involved a confrontation with police after they arrived at 10:02 a.m. and requested backup at 10:03 a.m. Officers attempted negotiations and ordered the shooter to stop firing. At 10:10 a.m., the shooter took his own life. Investigators then executed a tactical clearance of Building 4.

Following the meeting with all relevant agencies, evidence and the shooter's mobile phone records are being examined to gather evidence and determine motive. Another press briefing will be held.

On August 9, 2025, police officers from Samut Songkhram's Muang district station, led by Major Somchai Korkha and assisted by several other officers, planned and executed the arrest of 29-year-old Ms. Chanistha (surname withheld) along Chaiyaprom Road in Mae Klong subdistrict, Muang district, Samut Songkhram, around 12:30 a.m. Officers received an informant tip about a planned drug delivery at that location and set up surveillance. When a Mercedes-Benz E200 registered in Chanthaburi arrived as reported, officers revealed themselves and conducted a search with the suspect as the sole driver.

During the search, police discovered 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine hidden in the engine compartment on the driver's side. In the back seat, they found an unregistered 11mm semi-automatic pistol (Colt 1911) loaded with 7 rounds in a black cloth holster. Officers seized the drugs and weapons, along with the luxury car and three iPhones, under anti-drug laws. Examination of the suspect's phone revealed clear evidence of drug transactions, photos, money transfer receipts, and location-sharing to evade police checkpoints.

During interrogation, Ms. Chanistha confessed to all charges, claiming she had no other employment besides courier work. She stated she had previously received methamphetamine and ice from Bueng Kan province—5 bags of methamphetamine and 4 kilograms of ice. She had delivered all the methamphetamine and 3 kilograms of ice to customers in Suphan Buri. The 1 kilogram of ice seized was her commission for the job. A customer named "Ert" had contacted her to buy the ice for 100,000 baht, so she was transporting it when arrested. Her urine test came back negative for drugs.

Police charged her with drug trafficking of a Type 1 narcotic (ice) with intent to sell for profit, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, and carrying a firearm in an urban area without authorization. She has been handed to Samut Songkhram's Muang district investigative officers for legal proceedings, with police continuing to pursue related network members.

Dr. Jetsada Bunyavongvirojn, Deputy Director of Primary Care at Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, cautions that heart ischemia can develop without chest pain and outlines warning signs to monitor. Heart disease increasingly affects younger people who may be working, raising children, and planning their futures before suddenly experiencing unusual fatigue, tightness, nausea, or dizziness. Because these symptoms lack the dramatic chest-clutching pain shown in television dramas, many assume they are unrelated to the heart—a dangerous misconception. Heart muscle ischemia need not present as crushing chest pain in everyone, especially in women, elderly patients, and those with diabetes; symptoms may be subtle or appear completely unrelated to cardiac problems.

The good news is that recognizing warning signs allows faster hospital arrival and earlier treatment, reducing heart muscle damage. Six key warning signs to monitor include:

1. Unusual fatigue—previously manageable activities like climbing two flights of stairs now leave you breathless after half a flight, or you tire abnormally fast during routine activities. While multiple conditions cause fatigue, new fatigue triggered by exertion and relieved by rest warrants cardiac concern, as the heart requires increased blood and oxygen during activity; narrowed coronary vessels may deliver insufficient supply.

2. Tightness, heaviness, pressure, or burning in the center of the chest without acute pain. Many patients describe this as heaviness, tightness, a lump in the throat, chest burning, or shortness of breath—symptoms often mistaken for acid reflux or indigestion. If symptoms occur during brisk walking, stair climbing, exertion, or stress and improve with rest, heart ischemia must be considered.

3. Pain or discomfort radiating to the arm, wrist, back, shoulder, or neck. Some patients experience primary symptoms in the left arm, both arms, shoulder, wrist, neck, or upper back rather than the chest. This occurs because nerves carrying sensation from the heart connect to other body regions, causing the brain to mislocalize pain.

4. Nausea, throat tightness, and cold sweating without eating spoiled food. This combination—particularly in women and elderly patients—can appear suddenly with nausea, throat tightness, cold perspiration, paleness, and lightheadedness. While many attribute this to indigestion or stomach problems, sudden onset accompanied by chest tightness, fatigue, or cardiac risk factors warrants cardiac evaluation.

5. Dizziness, heart palpitations, or fainting sensation. Heart ischemia can affect the heart's electrical system, causing palpitations, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, dimming vision, or loss of consciousness—particularly during exertion. Such symptoms require immediate evaluation to rule out coronary narrowing, arrhythmia, or structural heart abnormalities.

6. Cold sweating without obvious cause—no heat, no exercise, just profuse sweating and chills with poor appetite. Combined with chest tightness, fatigue, nausea, or dizziness, this warrants urgent cardiac assessment.

Officers also seized 12 additional 0.5cc syringes and one iPhone 16 Pro. Matichon reported that the investigation began after Phuket City Police Station received complaints from residents alleging that slimming products were being secretly sold online from a rented room. Investigators subsequently gathered evidence, obtained approval for a search warrant and inspected the property, where they arrested the woman and seized the products. The woman and the seized items were transferred to investigators at Phuket City Police Station for further legal proceedings. On August 9, 2026, the Pattaya Radio Center received a report of a sedan colliding with a pickup truck near the railroad parallel road at Nong Prueai junction in Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province. Emergency responders and volunteer rescue workers were dispatched to the scene.

At the location, a Honda CRV with Bangkok registration was found with severe front-end damage. Four occupants inside the vehicle sustained bruises and injuries throughout their bodies. The driver, 44-year-old Thanachon (surname withheld), was among the injured.

Nearby, a Toyota Hilux Revo pickup truck with Chon Buri registration was found with severe damage to its left side. The driver, 57-year-old Sutin (surname withheld), suffered injuries from the impact. All injured persons received first aid before being transported to nearby hospitals.

According to questioning, Thanachon stated he was not a local resident and was driving with two other friends and his girlfriend. At the accident location, which was an unlit area with no visible traffic signals, his vehicle collided severely with the pickup truck traveling straight ahead, resulting in the injuries.

Authorities documented the scene with photographs as evidence. All injured parties will receive treatment until fully recovered, after which police will conduct an investigation and proceed with legal action accordingly.

A deputy superintendent at Ban Phai Police Station in Khon Kaen has been transferred following an assault on a local journalist. On August 9, 2569 (2026), Khon Kaen Provincial Police explained the incident that circulated on social media on August 8, in which a police officer with the rank of deputy superintendent at Ban Phai Station was accused of assaulting a local journalist, causing injury within the police station compound.

According to the police report, on August 7 at 7:30 p.m. near the investigation room at Ban Phai Station, Deputy Lieutenant Worawit (surname withheld), the deputy superintendent, engaged in casual banter with local journalist Tri Thep at a marble table beside the investigation room. However, Worawit then grabbed Tri Thep in a chokehold forcefully. When Tri Thep stood up and walked away, Worawit followed and grabbed him again, asking mockingly, "Upset over just this joke?" Tri Thep then lost consciousness. When he regained awareness, he found himself injured with a lacerated right eyebrow and red swelling on his neck. Rescue personnel transported him to Ban Phai Hospital, where he received medical treatment.

Lieutenant Colonel Rakthat Reuang Jarun, the superintendent of Ban Phai Station, immediately visited the injured journalist to express concern and assured fair handling of the incident. The station determined that the injuries resulted from Worawit's actions, though the exact cause remained unclear. For transparency and fairness, Khon Kaen Provincial Police ordered Worawit transferred immediately to assist operations at the provincial police center, effective August 8, 2569. An investigative committee has been appointed to review the facts of the case.

Tri Thep remains hospitalized at Ban Phai Hospital awaiting doctor's clearance to return home, after which he plans to file a formal complaint with police.
