Postal Worker Thanks PM Anutheen for Life-Saving Heart Transplant
A postal worker thanked Prime Minister Anutheen at Bangkok Railway Station for personally delivering a donor heart that saved his life through the Wings of the Heart transplant programme despite severe storms.
At 1:30 p.m. on August 15, 2025, at Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong), Prime Minister Anutheen Chansaweerakul, who also serves as Interior Minister, was present to open the first Digital Shield Forum, a nationwide campaign against online dangers. While visiting booths at the event, Anutheen was greeted at the Thai Postal Service booth by Anucha Chantphrom, assistant director of the Bangkok Post Office Region 3. Anucha knelt and presented a garland to the Prime Minister, who quickly helped him to his feet and embraced him. Anucha told Anutheen that he was one of the heart transplant recipients who received a donor heart through the Wings of the Heart programme, which Anutheen personally piloted despite severe weather conditions on that day. "Even though that day had very strong storms, the Prime Minister still flew to deliver the heart to me," Anucha said, adding that he had been hoping for a chance to meet Anutheen for a long time. The Prime Minister then put his arm around Anucha's shoulder and urged him to take care of his health and not become ill again.
