Real Madrid announced that midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni have each been fined 500,000 euros, roughly 18.9 million baht, over a conflict between the two players.
According to reports, Valverde and Tchouaméni clashed during training on May 6, and the tension continued the following day when Valverde refused to make peace. During the subsequent training session, they had another intense confrontation that heightened the atmosphere.
After training ended, both players continued their dispute in the locker room, eventually escalating to a physical fight that left Valverde with a head wound requiring stitches at the hospital. Head coach Álbaro Arbeloa accompanied him to the medical facility.
Following the incident, Real Madrid launched an investigation. Valverde acknowledged having a disagreement with Tchouaméni but denied it involved a physical fight, claiming his injuries were merely accidental.
On May 8, "Los Blancos" announced that Valverde and Tchouaméni would each be fined 500,000 euros, approximately 18.9 million baht.
Both players provided statements to the assigned investigators, expressed deep regret for the incident, and apologized to each other. Real Madrid confirmed the matter has been resolved and closed.
