Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot to earn Portugal a 1-1 draw against Croatia in the 2026 World Cup Round of 32 on July 3rd. The record-breaking goal is Ronaldo's first in a knockout stage after six World Cup appearances. At 41 years old, Ronaldo has also become the first footballer to score more than 25 goals combined in World Cup and European Championship tournaments.
