Tropical Storm Maliksi Brings Heavy Rainfall Warning
Tropical storm Maliksi will bring heavy rainfall to Thailand's northern and southern regions from July 3-6, though the storm's center will track through China rather than crossing Thai territory.

Under the influence of tropical storm Maliksi, a monsoon trough over the northern and upper northeastern regions, combined with a strengthening southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, rainfall is expected to increase significantly on July 3-4, 2026, with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas, particularly in the northern, upper northeastern, eastern, and southern regions. Between July 5-6, the upper northern and upper northeastern regions will continue experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Wave conditions in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand will intensify, with the upper Andaman Sea experiencing waves 2-3 meters high, and areas with thunderstorms seeing waves exceeding 3 meters. The lower Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand will have waves around 2 meters, with thunderstorm areas experiencing waves exceeding 2 meters. Fishermen are advised to exercise caution and avoid thunderstorm areas, with small boats in the upper Andaman Sea recommended to refrain from leaving shore during this period.
