Media reports indicate that Argentina's 2022 FIFA World Cup championship prize money of 42 million euros—part of approximately 300 million euros in total winnings—was transferred to a company with no connection to football.

On July 11, Buriram Governor Pinya Pitnam ordered a special enforcement team led by Nurichit Rungsila, Buriram Province Deputy Governor, to conduct a raid on an entertainment venue in Nang Rong District as part of Operation 90 Days, a drug suppression initiative.
