Samut Sakhon officials raided an unlicensed hotel in Aomnoi subdistrict after an undercover sting revealed it was renting out more than 30 rooms daily. The operation, conducted on October 15, 2026, involved district authorities, provincial officials, police and volunteer defence units. The hotel’s manager was detained and the case forwarded for further investigation.
The Ban Phaew district office and Samut Sakhon provincial administration dispatched officials to conduct an undercover purchase and arrest an illegal hotel in Aomnoi subdistrict, which was operating without a licence and offering more than 30 rooms for daily rent. At 2:30 p.m. on October 15, 2026, Ban Phaew district chief Pirunroj Nakdonthi assigned senior officials, together with provincial prevention units, police from Ban Phaew station, and volunteer defence members, to inspect the premises following a directive from the Department of Provincial Administration. According to informants, the hotel had been converting a building into daily‑rent rooms, totalling 33 units. Undercover agents visited twice and confirmed the allegations, prompting a coordinated inspection. The investigation revealed the hotel lacked a proper licence, leading to the detention of its manager and the preparation of an arrest record for further investigation. The Ban Phaew district said it will continue to monitor hotels in the area under the direction of Samut Sakhon Governor Amnop Charoensri, Deputy Governors Damrongsak Yodthongdee and Wachiraphorn Amatayakul, and Provincial Permanent Secretary Banphot Chanthawong.
