Sansiri Capital Trophy Fund (Sansiri Capital) disclosed the significant achievement resulting from its strategic cooperation with Bangkok Bank PCL, which extended a total credit facility of 165 million euros, or roughly 6.34 billion baht, to fund the purchase of The Lake Como EDITION, an ultra-luxury five‑star hotel on Lake Como, Italy.

Bangkok Bank President Chatsiri Sophonpanich said the bank is delighted to back Sansiri Capital in this important transaction, expressing confidence in the management team’s experience in global investment and international hospitality. He noted that The Lake Como EDITION is an asset with strong upside potential, situated in a destination that attracts ultra‑luxury tourists.

The loan reflects Bangkok Bank’s role as a financial ally for customers aiming to grow their businesses and investments abroad while fostering long‑term expansion.

On his side, Sansiri Capital Managing Director Naphat Thaveesin stated that acquiring The Lake Como EDITION represents a strategic milestone for the fund’s investment portfolio. He explained that Sansiri Capital has been building networks with institutional investors and global partners, attracting interest from Asian investors.

Nevertheless, Sansiri Capital sees continued growth opportunities in the tourism sector and the ultra‑luxury hospitality market, particularly for assets in premier luxury destinations and major world cities where demand from high‑spending travelers remains strong, while new‑development sites are limited.

He described The Lake Como EDITION as a trophy asset distinguished by its lakeside location on Lake Como, a world‑renowned destination appealing to affluent clientele. Sansiri Capital intends to employ asset‑management strategies to enhance the hotel’s value and drive long‑term growth.

The fund plans an aggressive investment focus on luxury hotels and lifestyle properties in global gateway cities and key tourism destinations with strong brands and future upside, aiming to evolve its portfolio into a global real‑estate and lifestyle investment platform.

He dismissed claims that the operation is meant to showcase work on the Klong Chan project, saying it is not the time to argue over credit, and noted that sea‑tide effects are currently weak.
