A security guard was injured after bravely attempting to stop two armed robbers at a 7-Eleven store in Surin province on July 19. Video footage shows two young men in dark long-sleeved clothing and helmets entering the store, with one climbing over the counter while the other stood guard. When the security officer, Phuawadol Khrueangsaeng, arrived on the scene, he immediately attempted to restrain both suspects by locking their necks, but the robbers drew weapons and struggled to escape. After a store employee helped subdue one suspect and merchandise was scattered during the struggle, both robbers ultimately managed to flee the scene, and they remain at large.
