Sirichok Seeks Shuffle Coin Trail in MP Conflict Probe

Former MP Sirichok Sopha is urging a parliamentary committee to investigate the money trail of Shuffle coins linked to MP Suchada Sangthanthakun's husband, after 88 million coins worth an estimated 140% more than their initial allocation went missing. The probe focuses on potential conflicts of interest involving online gambling investments and possible implications for Digital Economy Minister Chaiyachanok Chidchob.

Former Songkhla MP Sirichok Sopha of the Democrat Party proceeded to investigate the Shuffle coin money trail after shares were found but 88 million coins remain missing, suspecting a value increase of nearly 140% and eyeing a conflict-of-interest case tied to an online gambling crackdown. He insists on examining both the money trail and the share sale by the husband of MP Suchada Sangthanthakun.

At 09:30 on October 22, 2026, at Parliament, Sirichok gave an interview before providing information to the House Committee on Legal Affairs, Justice and Human Rights. He said it depends on the committee what they will ask or what he will ask further. Regarding further disclosure, he said to wait a bit as they are in a recess. He confirmed the focus is the money trail, especially Shuffle coins. After MP Suchada Sangthanthakun of the Bhumjaithai Party confirmed her husband held shares and sold them, Sirichok noted they are still tracing the Shuffle coins because the tokenomics allocated 88 million coins to initial investors, and they have not located them yet despite finding the shares.

Asked if the coins link to a political party or just Suchada and her husband, Sirichok said they see a connection, citing the SEC's clarification on the coins' origin appearing in the calculation of digital asset reserves. He believes the coins are more valuable than shares, having increased 130-140% since allocation, which is why he and the committee must find the truth, especially since Suchada avoided mentioning the coins while her husband is a coin enthusiast.

Regarding the shares, Sirichok expressed concern over changing figures — unclear if 1% or 1.47% sold — and is seeking the truth because the share registry from two years ago (2024) shows no changes. He demands Suchada and her husband present the shares held in the British Virgin Islands.

Asked if this could lead to a no-confidence debate linked to a political party or other politicians, Sirichok said he has not been contacted by any party; the Democrats have only discussed it briefly. However, Suchada admitted her husband invested in an online gambling den and declared assets to the NACC since her time as Secretary to the Digital Economy Minister. If true, this constitutes an immediate conflict of interest implicating Minister Chaiyachanok Chidchob as the appointee.

On whether this is merely an ethical issue or involves legal violations, Sirichok said beyond ethics, it is a criminal offense for conflict of interest, punishable by imprisonment, heavier than asset concealment.

Regarding the Prime Minister's remark that this is a personal matter and asking Suchada to explain per process, and whether it is a 'tail-cutting' tactic, Sirichok said assets are personal, but if those assets...
