On August 14, 2025, at Songkhla Provincial Court, prosecutors brought Chananpat Naksham, Songkhla parliamentarian from the Kraithum Party, to face charges of organizing illegal online gambling, promoting and advertising gambling websites, and soliciting others to participate. The charges relate to activities between February 8 and 24, 2022, involving the defendant and co-accused Natthawut, who remains at large, along with six others previously convicted in case number Or.281/2565. Additionally, six more defendants identified as Chuthamaad, Kittiphan, Natthanant, Chaiyanrong, Natthawut, and Patipat were also previously convicted in the same case.
All 12 defendants operated online gambling websites narnia99.com and www.narnia77.com, offering multiple betting options including baccarat, online slots, football betting, and lottery games, violating Thailand's Gambling Act. The defendant served as operator and website owner with management authority, while Natthawut acted as manager overseeing finances and staff who served as administrators and customer service agents. The illegal operation originated from Koh Hong Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.
When the defendant met with investigators on July 17, 2024, he denied the allegations and was released on temporary bail. Today, prosecutors formally filed charges with the court. The court accepted the charges and granted the defendant temporary release after he posted a bail guarantee. A hearing is scheduled for September 29, 2025.
