Lionel Messi, captain of Argentina's national team, has made a cameo appearance in a new advertisement for the upcoming film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" alongside superstar Tom Holland. In the commercial, Messi plays himself walking into a coffee shop where Holland, in his role as Peter Parker, is sitting. Upon seeing Messi enter, Holland's character shows surprise and greets him. Messi then reveals he has been helping hunt Spider-Man across the city using a tracking device on his phone. Parker subsequently disappears into the back of the shop, and Spider-Man appears in his place. The two then venture out together to swing on web lines and explore the city. The advertisement concludes with a message that the film will begin its theatrical run in the United States on July 31. Currently 39 years old, Messi remains committed to Argentina's 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, where he has demonstrated outstanding form by scoring six goals across three group-stage matches.
