Sports Minister Honors Queen With National Sports Award
The Sports Minister presented a national award to the Queen in recognition of her leadership in Thailand's sailing team, which won gold at the Southeast Asian Games and achieved runner-up honors at the Phuket Kings Cup Regatta.
On July 16 at 17:58, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen granted an audience to Surasak Phancharoenwakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, who led a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Thailand Sports Authority to present a prestigious sports award to Her Majesty the Queen in recognition of National Sports Day 2568. The award honored the Queen's exceptional leadership in guiding Thailand's national sailing team to win a gold medal in the Keelboat SSL47 competition at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in 2568, as well as achieving first runner-up in the IRC Zero sailing class under Team Vayu at the 37th Phuket Kings Cup Regatta, an international sailing competition held at Kata Beach in Mueang Phuket District, Phuket Province. The Queen serves as an exemplary role model for athletes worthy of recognition and possesses a deep passion for sports.
