Thai Met Department Warns of Nationwide Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Tomorrow
The Thai Meteorological Department warns of nationwide thunderstorms and isolated heavy rain tomorrow, with Bangkok and the Central region facing the highest risk, while mariners are urged to avoid stormy seas with waves over two meters.
The Thai Meteorological Department issued a 24-hour forecast at 5:00 PM on October 31, warning that Thailand will continue to experience thunderstorms and isolated heavy rain, particularly in the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity. Residents in these areas are urged to beware of dangers from thunderstorms and heavy downpours.
This is due to easterly winds prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand, Thailand, and the Andaman Sea, while a high-pressure system or cold air mass from China covering upper Thailand and the South China Sea has weakened.
For the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, areas with thunderstorms will see waves higher than two meters. Mariners should check routes, proceed with caution, and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
