The Thai national sepak takraw team continues its campaign at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, having already won two gold medals and one silver, with a chance to add another gold in the women’s four‑person team event. Police Major Kovit Jirachananon, manager of the national squad for the Nagoya Asian Games, reported that Thailand’s two golds and one silver so far come from the women’s team and men’s singles, while the men’s team claimed silver. The team still has one important goal left: to capture the final gold in the women’s four‑person team, despite losing their opening match 0‑2 to Vietnam due to injuries and poor serving. They plan to fix the serving issues, with two remaining group matches against the Philippines and India, and hope to meet Vietnam again in the final. If they win the championship, Thailand will finish the 2026 Asian Games with three golds and one silver from four events. The women’s four‑person team group stage schedule places Thailand in Group A, facing the Philippines on 1 October 2026 at 7:00 am Thailand time and India on 2 October 2026 at the same time, with the semifinals later that day at 12:00 pm and the final on 3 October 2026 at 7:00 am Thailand time.
