Thailand Relaxes Mortgage Rules To Boost Housing Demand
Thailand's banking regulator has relaxed mortgage lending limits and extended tax breaks on property transfers to stimulate housing demand in the second half of 2026.
PHUKET: Thailand’s residential property market could see stronger demand in the second half of 2026 following the relaxation of mortgage loan-to-value (LTV) limits and an extension of cuts to property transfer and mortgage registration fees, according to property consultancy CBRE Thailand.
