The worker panicked and fled before reporting the discovery, saying he had never encountered such a situation in all his years of work.

On May 11, 2569, Pol. Maj. Lertchai Phuealongchai from Yannawa Police Station received the report and immediately coordinated with the forensic unit, forensic doctors from Police Hospital, and rescue personnel from Ruam Katanyu Foundation to respond to the scene.

At the location, authorities found the newborn's body with placenta and umbilical cord inside a clear plastic garbage bag behind a green garbage truck bearing license plate 67-9755 Bangkok. The infant was confirmed to be male, approximately six months into gestation.

Truck driver Chaiyanrong Katisart, 50, recounted that while collecting garbage bags along Charoen Krung 58 Soi at a designated collection point, he and his colleagues were sorting through bags to retrieve plastic bottles when they discovered the infant. Shocked and distressed, he and his colleague decided to flee and called police to report the incident. He expressed that in all his years working in this area, he had never encountered anything like this and felt deeply sympathetic to the situation.

Initially, Yannawa Police Station transferred the infant's remains to Ruam Katanyu Foundation rescue personnel, who then transported the body to Police Hospital's forensic unit for identification purposes. Authorities aim to locate the mother to proceed with legal proceedings.

Namtarn Pijaksana Reveals Wedding Prep Progress, Plans Northern Thai Traditional Ceremony

Actress Namtarn Pijaksana says wedding planning is only 10% complete and causing her anxiety, with the Northern Thai traditional ceremony potentially delayed to early next year as she and fiancé Phi Phai await auspicious dates from elders.

11 May Khaosod

Bride-to-be Namtarn Pijaksana has confessed that wedding planning is making her anxious, with preparations progressing at only 10%. Speaking at the premiere of the film "City Curse" at Major Ratchayothin cinema, the actress revealed she's pushing hard to complete arrangements this year, though she may postpone to early next year if needed, as she and her fiancé haven't yet consulted auspicious dates or officially set a wedding date.

Nametarn disclosed that she was shocked to learn that wedding planning requires booking venues, makeup artists, and organizers a year in advance. Many services are already fully booked, particularly auspicious dates which are limited to just a few days each month, adding to her stress.

For the ceremony, she initially planned an intimate, small family gathering with Northern Thai traditions. However, it's growing larger than expected as friends are excited about attending and experiencing the Northern Thai wedding customs. Some have already asked about booking tickets in advance.

Regarding the atmosphere, while her fiancé Phi Phai is quiet and simple, Namtarn admitted she's the fun-loving type who wants the celebration to be thoroughly enjoyable. From past weddings she's attended, she's been fully involved and stayed the longest, so she's now trying to balance simplicity with fun.

"I'm excited," she said. "Today we met so many friends who came to congratulate us, and everyone asks when and what day to mark on their calendars. Right now I have to tell everyone to be patient because we're still planning."

"We're trying to make it happen this year, or early next year at the latest, because neither Tal nor Phi Phai have consulted auspicious dates or set any specific dates yet. Everyone assumes that once an engagement happens, we'd immediately send invitations with the date, but we're nowhere near that stage."

"Another thing I learned is that getting married requires booking a year in advance, which shocked me. The best auspicious dates might already be fully booked since everyone books from the previous year. If we want it this year, we might have to settle for second-choice dates, just nothing bad."

Regarding convenient dates: "If the date is only convenient for us but not the parents, they won't accept it. The elders are quite serious about auspicious dates, so I try to adjust as much as possible. We'll have to wait for the parents and Phi Phai's family to discuss soon, which might give us more clarity. Right now I can't really say much. It's not a secret—everyone knows we've been together for a long time and we're already engaged—but we haven't discussed the details yet."

Will the wedding theme definitely be Northern Thai traditions? "Yes, we initially planned a small, warm family gathering in the North, but now it's starting to grow. Friends aren't even asking about the Bangkok venue anymore; they're all asking about the Northern event and wanting to book tickets. Everyone wants to see the Northern Thai traditions because they might not have many Northern friends, so they're curious about how Northerners do weddings, what ceremonies they have, whether they pour water on the bride's hands, whether they drink from cups. I tell them that's not quite how it works, but I'm still thinking about it."

"Right now, I'd say wedding preparation is at 10%. This 10% means just Tal and Phi Phai talking between ourselves, and me discussing with friends. The parents and the other side haven't had formal discussions yet," she concluded.

Residents in Two Provinces Fear Mysterious Crocodile Spotted in Canal, Urge Swift Capture

A mysterious crocodile spotted in Hok Klong canal near Chachoengsao and Nakhon Nayok provinces has alarmed residents, prompting officials from both provinces to coordinate a nighttime search using video evidence captured by a local mosque i

11 May Khaosod

On May 11, 2025, Natthadesai Mahasakyasiri, chairman of the Don Chimpli Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Bang Nam Prio District, Chachoengsao Province, met with Phuutai Boonrot, chairman of the Phra Ajariya Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Nakhon Nayok Province, to coordinate a search for a mysterious crocodile believed to inhabit Hok Klong canal. The canal runs near a health clinic in Don Chimpli Subdistrict, Chachoengsao, and borders Phra Ajariya Subdistrict, Nakhon Nayok. Fishing officials from both provinces attended the meeting along with local leaders and community representatives.

Warich Tanuphatsorn, a fishing official from Ong Kharak District in Nakhon Nayok, revealed that a mosque imam from the area managed to capture video footage of a suspicious object in the canal that authorities believe is indeed a crocodile. Since crocodiles are typically more active at night, today's meeting focused on planning operations. The team has requested boats from both subdistrict administrative organizations for a search scheduled for the night of May 12. They are also coordinating with freshwater fisheries protection units from Khun Dan Prakan Dam in Nakhon Nayok, which specializes in capturing crocodiles and dangerous aquatic animals. If a crocodile is confirmed, authorities will hold a community meeting to determine whether to allow it to remain in its natural habitat or capture and relocate it, as crocodiles are protected wildlife under Thai law.

Kittisakdi Wangman, 49, the imam who shot the video, explained that about two weeks ago while crossing the Hok Klong bridge, he spotted something floating in the water. Out of curiosity, he returned and filmed it with his mobile phone. Based on decades of living near the canal, he is confident the object is definitely a crocodile. Since news of the sighting spread, residents on both sides of the canal in Chachoengsao and Nakhon Nayok have become anxious, with many afraid to use the waterway. They are calling on authorities to urgently verify the facts and, if confirmed to be a crocodile, to capture and remove it quickly so residents can return to their normal lives.

11 May Khaosod

Liverpool has unveiled designs for a memorial statue to be installed at Anfield to honor the late striker Diogo Jota and his younger brother André Silva, who died in a car accident in July last year.

The memorial, titled 'Forever 20,' celebrates their lives, bonds, and the love and respect shown by family, teammates, and football fans worldwide.

At the center of the memorial is a flowing heart sculpture, commemorating Jota's iconic goal celebration. The design features the numbers 20 and 30 from multiple angles—the shirt numbers worn by the two brothers.

The memorial also features engravings of lyrics from a beloved song associated with Jota that Liverpool fans continue to sing during the 20th minute of every match. Fan tributes previously left at Anfield will be melted and incorporated into the memorial's base, alongside personal details reflecting Jota's life beyond football, including a game controller placed on the base.

The memorial will serve as a permanent symbol of love, unity, and remembrance—a space where everyone can reflect, remember, and pay their respects. Liverpool will announce the official unveiling date at a later time, though the statue is confirmed to be located on 97 Avenue at Anfield, the same memorial site where fans have laid flowers, jerseys, and tributes since Jota's passing.
