A Nakhon Chai Air tour bus traveling between Bangkok and Nan caught fire near a Bang Jak petrol station on Highway 117 approaching Phitsanulok on the morning of July 8, 2025. The fire was reported at 2:10 a.m. in the Wang It subdistrict of Bang Rakam district. Firefighters deployed water trucks and managed to control the flames within approximately 30 minutes. The bus was completely destroyed, but all 21 passengers aboard escaped without injury.
