Two armed robbers smashed display cases at a gold shop in Nakhon Ratchasima and fled with over 30 gold rings in a white Toyota Yaris on April 27, police said.
At 10:21 AM on April 27, 2569, police officers from Chokechai Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima received a report of an armed robbery at a gold shop in Dan Geryan Subdistrict, Chokechai District. The suspects fled quickly after the incident.
Initial investigation revealed two male suspects wearing face masks, long-sleeved black shirts, and shorts. Both carried handguns and used a hard object to smash multiple glass display cases before sweeping away over 30 gold rings and fleeing the scene.
After committing the robbery, the suspects drove off in a white Toyota Yaris with a covered license plate toward Chokechai intersection. A witness on a motorcycle attempted to follow them briefly before alerting police to intercept, but the suspects managed to escape.
Phinyaporn, a 57-year-old chicken rice vendor operating nearby, recounted that she saw a man park the car in front of the shop, enter the gold store, then quickly commit the robbery before rushing back to the vehicle and driving away. She expressed shock at witnessing such a crime in a busy community area with constant foot traffic.
The exact weight and value of stolen items remain unclear. Police are currently awaiting forensic specialists to conduct a detailed investigation of the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas to track down the suspects and proceed with criminal charges.
