A 60-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in a collision between a tour bus and a motorcycle at Lam Sai junction in Phuket's Thalang district on August 14, 2025. Thalang Police received a report of the accident on the Pa Khlok-Muang Mai Road and coordinated with rescue officials to respond.

At the scene, officers found a red-and-grey Honda motorcycle registered in Phuket, ridden by Sai Jai, 60, who was seriously injured. Rescue personnel immediately transported her to Thalang Hospital for treatment. A Bangkok-registered tour bus driven by Abhinun, 45, was also involved in the collision.

Investigation revealed that both vehicles were traveling from Pa Khlong Chee Phop toward Route 4027. The bus was ahead when it turned right toward Pa Khlok. Three suspects posing as immigration officers have been arrested after targeting Chinese migrant workers in Ban Kaai District, Rayong. The suspects allegedly forced victims to buy charity cards, threatening to bring in real immigration staff for inspections if they refused, and items went missing from residences after the suspects left.

Rayong Provincial Police and Nong Krub Station officers tracked the suspects to a house in Bo Win Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi, where they seized a black Toyota Revo pickup truck and recovered two damaged vehicle license plates along with documents related to extortion attempts and evidence. A secondary school in Suphan Buri Province has alerted police after a male student posted an image of a bullet in a LINE group chat on the morning of August 14, raising concerns about potential copycat behaviour. The school, worried about possible dangerous incidents, requested police assistance to investigate. Don Jedi Police Station responded immediately with officers to the school. The student who posted the image and his parents were called in for questioning. A search of the student's bag found no weapons or ammunition. Initial findings suggest the student obtained the bullet image from social media, shared it carelessly, and then forwarded it in the group chat. The school has since counselled the student on his behaviour and notified his parents.

On August 14, the Maritime State Security Center and Chonburi Provincial Police received reports of four foreign divers missing while diving off Samed Island in Satahib District, Chonburi Province. Nathwut Anuyottha, the district chief, immediately traveled to assess the situation and prepare rescue operations.

According to initial information, the dive boat named Jer Pawdee Tour departed from Varasinhth Bridge in Samed at around 10:00 a.m., carrying eight tourists and five dive instructors. The group headed to a dive site called Rong Khon Rong Nang, though precise coordinates have not been confirmed.

Four tourists descended for Technical Diving training around 15:00, the scheduled return time. When they failed to surface, instructors searched the area but found no trace. The boat captain then contacted the Maritime State Security Center for assistance.

The four missing divers are foreign nationals: one British, two Americans, and one of unconfirmed nationality. Their names, ages, exact coordinates, and dive depth are still being verified. According to Suphichaya Karkid, 45, the girlfriend of one missing diver, all four are experienced and certified divers, with some holding instructor-level qualifications. This dive was intended as advanced technical diving training.

Suphichaya explained that at the scheduled time, divers should have sent a marker or signal to the surface so the captain could locate their exit point. When no such signal appeared, the captain and crew began searching but found nothing.
