Suspect Identified in Brazen Gold Shop Robbery in Central Bangkok Mall
A lone suspect has been identified for robbing a famous gold shop in a central Bangkok mall, stealing 198 grams of gold. The robbery occurred in a shopping mall in the Sukhumvit area under the jurisdiction of Phra Khanong Police Station, with the criminal escaping with approximately 198 grams of gold and around 170,000 baht in cash, totaling damage over 10 million baht. The incident took place around 11:30 PM on January 30th. Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom disclosed that investigative teams are reviewing CCTV footage and tracking the suspect, who appears to be hiding in abandoned areas and under pedestrian bridges, avoiding returning home.
