Shocking! Quentin Griffiths, Global Fashion Company Co-Founder, Dies After Falling from 17th Floor in Pattaya
Shocking news about Quentin Griffiths, co-founder of a global fashion company, who died after falling from the 17th floor in Pattaya, amid legal troubles with his Thai ex-wife. On February 20, Reuters reported that Quentin Griffiths, co-founder of ASOS, a famous British fashion retail company, died after falling from a balcony in Thailand, according to Thai police reports. Police revealed that Griffiths, 58, fell from the 17th floor of an apartment building in Pattaya on February 9. When officers arrived at the scene, they found his body on the ground below the balcony. Preliminary investigations indicate suicide with no signs of murder, and CCTV showed no evidence of anyone else entering the apartment where he lived alone. The body has been sent for autopsy. Thai police cited comments from Griffiths' Thai friends suggesting he was concerned about a lawsuit from his Thai ex-wife, with related legal documents found in his apartment. Initially, the case did not attract media attention in Pattaya, which has a large foreign population, until the UK's The Sun newspaper reported the story. Griffiths co-founded ASOS in 2000 with Nick Robertson under the name 'As Seen On Screen', before developing it to ASOS in 2003, and remained a major shareholder after leaving the company. The Sun and Daily Mail reported that the 58-year-old millionaire was accused by his Thai ex-wife of stealing 500,000 pounds from a company they jointly managed. Channel News Asia reported that Griffiths was arrested last year regarding this matter and released after investigation, with police continuing their inquiry.
