The Kasetsart University Alumni Association from the United States donated 223,000 baht to support the Faculty of Medicine and Kasetsart University Hospital. Dr. Damrong Sriparam, acting president of Kasetsart University, received the donation, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuchnart Mangkang, vice president of finance and special activities, present as a witness at the president's office in the 50-Year Information Building. The Faculty of Medicine was established for teaching, research, medical education, and medical services in the context of Agro-Medicine and Bio-Innovation, aiming to be a central medical service provider to sustainably improve Thai people's quality of life. Recognizing the importance of health, public health, economic, and social changes, the university is developing a medical park project including medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, and related faculties, along with a 400-bed Kasetsart University Hospital. Currently, the first and second batches of medical students (47 each) and the first batch of nursing students (63) are enrolled, with plans to admit the first pharmacy students in the 2026 academic year. Construction is underway for various medical education buildings and clinical centers. The university has established a foundation to support these efforts and invites donations, which are tax-deductible.
