Louis Vuitton Revamps Bangkok Flagship with Thai Artists, Exclusive Bag
Louis Vuitton revamps its Bangkok flagship at Gaysorn Amarin with rotating Thai artist installations, an expanded Visionary Journeys exhibition, and an exclusive Neverfull BB bag available only in Southeast Asia.
Louis Vuitton elevates LV The Place Bangkok by collaborating with three Thai artists to create contemporary artworks, expanding Le Café Louis Vuitton with a menu blending Thai flavors and global signatures, and launching the exclusive Neverfull BB LV&I bag available only in Bangkok, the sole Southeast Asian location.
Louis Vuitton Transforms LV The Place Bangkok to Capture Asian Luxury Market Louis Vuitton advances into the Asia-Pacific market in the final quarter of 2026 by revamping 'LV The Place Bangkok' at Gaysorn Amarin mall. The landmark now combines culture, art, dining, and shopping in one space, while expanding the world-class Visionary Journeys exhibition co-created with Shohei Shigematsu, partner at OMA, and providing a platform for three Thai artists to showcase contemporary works throughout the year.
Louis Vuitton launched LV The Place Bangkok in February 2024 as the first destination to integrate the brand's multidimensional experiences — culture, culinary arts, and shopping — in a single venue. This renovation builds on that concept, upgrading the space into a hub for creative exchange linked to Thailand's contemporary art scene.
Expanding Visionary Journeys with Three Thai Artists A key highlight is the expansion of the Visionary Journeys exhibition area, designed with architect Shohei Shigematsu. The Trunkscape — an architectural installation of 96 monogram trunks forming a large structure serving as a gateway to the exhibition — will now present video works by Thai artists on a rotating seasonal basis.
Louis Vuitton partners with the Bangkok Art Biennale, under the curation of Pantharak Piriwut Posayanont and Adulya Hantrakul, inviting three Thai artists — Nakorn Moolmanus, Nichcha Thothong, and Taiki Sakdipisit — to create works under the theme 'The Future of Travel – Between Memory and Imagination,' conveying the meaning of travel through artistic perspectives that connect memory and imagination.
The first installation runs from October 2026 to February 2027, featuring Nakorn Moolmanus, an artist known for collage works blending Western classical art, Thai visual culture, and historical imagery into an immersive video piece created exclusively for Visionary Journeys Bangkok, before the other two artists rotate in subsequent periods.
The exhibition comprises several rooms. The Origins room presents Louis Vuitton's beginnings through archival documents and rare trunks, such as the 1895 Canteen Trunk for cutlery, the 1909 Picnic Trunk, and the 1932 Library Trunk, reflecting the evolution from luggage specialist to global fashion house. The Asnières room debuts in Bangkok, narrating the story of the Vuitton family home and historic workshop founded in 1859 on the banks of the Seine, the source of inherited knowledge and craftsmanship.
