Boxer Duan 99 Phetkhunsuek Inks Four-Fight RWS Contract
Boxer Duan 99 Phetkhunsuek has signed a four-fight deal with RWS after earning over 1.6 million baht from his recent bouts. He recently defended his Rajadamnern 108-pound title with a knockout win, but a scheduled October 3 defense was postponed when his opponent got sick, leading to a substitute foreign fighter bout.
Duan 99 Phetkhunsuek, the 108-pound Rajadamnern champion under promoter Phet Yindee, is currently under contract with RWS for four fights. Since capturing the 108-pound Rajadamnern title, he has fought in three title bouts and one non-title fight, winning three and losing one, earning total purses and bonuses exceeding 1.6 million baht. In the title defense where he knocked out Kraduk Lek Sitthaithai, he received a 550,000-baht bonus, making his purse for that fight almost 700,000 baht. He then lost by decision to Jigsaw Sitthaithai in the RWS Super Fight million-baht match in June, but still earned a 250,000-baht Fighter Spirit bonus, bringing his purse for that fight to nearly 400,000 baht. Most recently, he was scheduled to defend the title against Kraduk Lek A. Achariya on October 3, but the challenger fell ill before the bout. Consequently, RWS replaced the matchup, letting Duan 99 fight a foreign substitute in a non-title bout so he could stay active. The promotion said it will arrange a new card for Duan 99 to defend his Rajadamnern title soon.
