Actress Claims Sister Stole Gold, Seized 40-Million Baht Home
Former Thai actress Aek Achara Thongthep says her sister stole over 360 baht of gold from a family safe and pawned it while blaming their mother. She also claims her sister mortgaged a 40‑million‑baht plot of land she had given her, leading to the bank seizing the property, which is now up for auction in Tung Song. Fans have rallied behind her, urging her to appear on the talk show ‘Hone Krasae’ to tell her side of the story.
Former actress Aek Achara Thongthep recounted how her sister opened the safe, took more than 360 baht of gold, and pawned it, insisting their mother was responsible. She said only her sister and she knew the safe’s keys and combination; no one else did. Her sister admitted opening the safe but claimed she gave the gold to their mother. Aek said she has ample evidence, witnesses, and documents, including the people who escorted the gold to the pawn shop and the buyers.
She also revealed that she had given her sister a debt-free plot of land valued at 40 million baht so she could build a house. Instead, her sister mortgaged the land, and the bank seized it; the property is now up for auction at the Tung Song Provincial Court. Aek explained she bought the land in 1997 with her own earnings from acting, and had transferred the title to her mother’s name to give credit to her mother and siblings living there. Her mother had requested the land so her sister could build a home after repeatedly fleeing the family home to be with her husband, whom Aek’s close friend is married to. Aek said she agreed, fearing her sister might face danger if she built a house in Tung Song due to the love‑triangle situation. Ultimately, her sister used the property as collateral, lost it to the bank, and it is now being sold at auction. Aek expressed frustration, asking what she should do next, and noted that the land’s price has fallen to the government’s assessed value, inviting anyone with money to buy it.
Comments from fans have poured in, offering encouragement and urging her to share her story on the ‘Hone Krasae’ program.
