A sad turn of events unfolded as Nasatala, a rural Afghan girl, learned of the death of Hulun Solo, the Thai content creator who had promised to help her pursue a medical degree. Thai physician Dr. Thaniey Thaniyawan (Doctor Tany page) had announced plans to sponsor Nasatala's medical education after Hulun discovered her exceptional aptitude and dream of becoming a doctor during travels to Afghanistan. Thai nationals and UN colleagues in the country assisted in locating the girl, coordinating the search through the "Little Girl on the Cold Mountain" page.
When UN official Sharif finally located Nasatala, she was still recovering from a recent accident with visible bruising on her face. The timing was particularly heartbreaking—she learned of Hulun's death on the same day. In response, Nasatala and her family offered prayers for Hulun to rest in God's embrace. The search team successfully connected Nasatala with Dr. Thaniyawan, and officials reported she was delighted to hear of the sponsorship opportunity, given her family's financial hardship. The coordinated effort by Thai volunteers and UN staff demonstrated solidarity in fulfilling Hulun's original promise to support the girl's medical aspirations.
