Ajarn Beer, Kwan Usamanee Report Flood Donation Fraud to Police
Ajarn Beer Khon Tuen Tham and actress Kwan Usamanee filed a police complaint alleging that a man posing as a volunteer misused nearly 200,000 baht in flood‑relief donations. They said the money, meant to buy food for victims, may have been spent on personal expenses and that total losses could approach 1 million baht. The case is under investigation at Rom Klao Police Station.
Ajarn Beer Khon Tuen Tham and Kwan Usamanee reported to police that a man posing as a volunteer had received multiple transfers of money, ranging from tens of thousands to about 30,000 baht per transaction, totaling nearly 200,000 baht. The money was supposed to buy food supplies for cooking meals for flood victims, not to pay the coordinator. Later they noticed irregularities: the man claimed he could prepare about 4,000 meal boxes per day, but the actual number of meals observed did not match, and some people seeking food did not receive what they expected. They found information and video clips suggesting the man may have spent the money on personal activities such as nightlife and alcohol consumption, prompting them to verify facts with related parties and stop further transfers. They also learned that other donors might have been affected, with some funds possibly channeled through other individuals' accounts before reaching the intended recipients, requiring a detailed trace of the money flow and actual beneficiaries. In addition, there were suspicions that relief supplies such as aid packages and drinking water were diverted or misused.
